Thì hiện tại đơn là gì?

Thì hiện tại đơn được sử dụng để diễn tả một sự thật hiển nhiên, một sự việc, một hay một hành động diễn ra và lặp lại liên tục theo thói quen, phong tục, khả năng diễn ra ở thời điểm hiện tại.

Tóm tắt cách sử dụng thì hiện tại đơn

• Thì hiện tại đơn được dùng để diễn tả một hành động hay một sự việc mang tính chất thường xuyên lặp đi lặp lại.

VD: Jane plays tennis everday. (Jane chơi tennis hàng ngày) 

• Thì hiện tại đơn được dùng để diễn tả một hành động xảy ra theo một thời gian biểu rõ ràng. 

VD: I always go to school at 7.0 am. (Tôi luôn đi học lúc 7.0 sáng)

• Thì hiện tại đơn dùng để diễn tả những trạng thái ở hiện tại.

VD: She is student at Thăng Long high school (Cô ấy đang là học sinh trường THPT Thăng Long)

• Thì hiện tại được sử dụng để diễn tả một sự thật hiển nhiên hay một chân lý. 

VD: The sun rises in the East and sets in the West. (Mặt trời mọc ở phía Đông và lặn ở phía Tây)

•  Thì hiện tại đơn được dùng để diễn tả các sự việc xảy ra theo kế hoạch bằng lịch trình cụ thể như: giờ tàu, chuyến bay, xem phim, lịch thi đấu…

VD: The flight departs from Ha Noi at 10:50 and arrives in Taipei at 14:30. (Chuyến bay khởi hành từ Hà Nội lúc 10:50 và tới Đài Loan lúc 14:30)

• Thì hiện tại đơn được dùng để diễn tả những cảm xúc, suy nghĩ và cảm giác của một người. 

VD: I think that your friend is a good person. (Tớ nghĩ rằng bạn cậu là một người tốt)

•  Thì hiện tại đơn được dùng để diễn tả các hành động trong tương lai với mệnh đề thời gian và trong mệnh đề If của câu điều kiện loại I.

– Mệnh đề thời gian (time clauses) sẽ bắt đầu bằng: When, While, As soon as, Before, After…

VD: As soon as he arrives, I will call you. (Nếu anh ấy tới, tôi sẽ gọi cho bạn)

– Mệnh đề If của câu điều kiện loại 1:  

VD: If I get up early, I will go to school on time. (Nếu tôi dậy sớm, tôi sẽ đến trường đúng giờ)
